Care for Real, our Edgewater Community food pantry, will gratefully accept food and cash donations at the service.  Currently, the most needed items are new or gently used coats, cooking oil, menstrual pads, full-size personal care items (shampoo, soap, lotion, etc.), and toilet paper. 

The Edgewater Community Religious Association (ECRA) hosts this inter-faith Thanksgiving Service annually.   About a dozen Edgewater faith communities currently participate in ECRA.   This year the Thanksgiving celebration will be held at St. Andrew’s Greek Orthodox Church, 5649 N. Sheridan Road, at 3 PM on Sunday, November 23.    

This is a wonderful gathering of Jews, Muslims, and a variety of Christian denominations to celebrate all that we are thankful for, including our diverse and harmonious Edgewater community. Delight in the music from the various community choirs.   A social hour follows the service to mingle and meet those from other faith traditions.  See you there!
